1,000 experts will convert cow dung into energy and income: Network to be developed in UP villages

Lucknow, Sept. 3 -- Significant steps are being taken in Uttar Pradesh to integrate cow protection into the rural economy and self-reliance, not just the shelter and care of cattle. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh Gauseva Commission and Partners in Prosperity (PNP) have signed a technical cooperation MoU to convert cow dung generated at cow shelters into clean energy and organic fertilisers, promote natural farming, and create an additional source of income.

This initiative will provide technical support to the Deenbandhu Model Biogas Plants established in the state, as well as develop robust technical systems for future plants. A network of 1,000 technical experts will be established. The goal is to make cow shelters self-reliant throug...
