New Delhi, June 29 -- India head coach Amol Muzumdar believes the team needs to rethink its approach in T20 cricket after crashing out of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup without reaching the semi-finals for the second straight edition.

India's six-wicket defeat to Australia at Lord's on Sunday ended their campaign, marking the second consecutive Women's T20 World Cup in which they failed to qualify for the knockout stage.

Reflecting on the exit, Muzumdar said the team needs to reassess its strategy in the shortest format if it wants to compete consistently with top sides like Australia.
