Los Angeles, Sept. 25 -- Two-time Emmy nominee Sara Gilbert is set to feature as an "important journalist" in the upcoming spinoff series of "Superman" titled "The People v. Gorilla Grodd".
Gilbert will star alongside Skyler Gisondo, who plays Daily Planet reporter Jimmy Olsen, and Jimmy Tatro, who essays the superintelligent ape Gorilla Grodd.
In the half-hour comedy series, a superintelligent ape is convicted of murdering his father, the King of Gorilla City. In an eight-part "true" crime docuseries, the Daily Planet's Jimmy Olsen reopens the case, investigating whether Gorilla Grodd was wrongly convicted in one of Metropolis' most famous murder trials, according to DEADLINE.
