New Delhi, Jan. 21 -- Senior advocate and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Wednesday described late Finance Minister and BJP stalwart Arun Jaitley as "the Amol Palekar of Indian politics," highlighting his sharp wit and restrained style of parliamentary discourse.

Singhvi was speaking here at the launch of a book, The Life and Legacy of Arun Jaitley, that pays tribute to the inspiring life of the lawyer-parliamentarian.

Authored by Sumant Batra, the book was unveiled at a ceremony held at a city hotel, with former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu as the chief guest. Several eminent jurists, senior advocates, politicians, administrators and Jaitley's family members were present.
