Pune, Sept. 4 -- The idol of Shreemant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, regarded as the country's first public Ganesh festival, will be taken out for immersion in the decorated 'Shri Ganesh Ratna Rath', the festival's chief and trustee Puneet Balan announced today.
As in previous years, the immersion procession of the Rangari Ganpati will be grand and spectacular, Balan said. On Anant Chaturdashi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Krishikesh Rawale will perform puja and aarti before the idol is installed in the Trimurti Shri Ganesh Ratna Rath.
