Hyderabad, April 6 -- Communist Party of India (CPI) National Control Commission Chairman K Narayana on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Central Government over the rising cost and shortage of cooking gas, using satire to highlight the difficulties faced by the common people.
In a video statement in Hyderabad, Narayana said that the situation has become so difficult that he is unable to cook food at home due to a lack of gas and is "forced to survive on fruits."Adding a touch of humour, he remarked, "No gas. the situation has become like Bapanayya in Lanka," pointing out that even preparing basic items like tea or coffee has become impossible.
He said his comment reflects the larger reality faced by households across the country.
