New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday handed over cheques of Rs one- lakh each and Karwa Chauth kits to fifty- one newly married women at her official residence Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan, as they were celebrating the festival for the first time.
These fifty one women are the ones who got married in a mass wedding ceremony organised by the Ladli Foundation in the month of March this year.
The initiative to provide financial assistance and gifts on their first Karwa Chauth is an by CM to bring happiness and smiles into their lives.
Gupta extended her wishes to these women, and all the married women in the national capital a happy, prosperous and joyful married life, and a happy Karwa Chauth.
