Aizawl, Jan. 29 -- In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Mizoram, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with Women in Aviation (WAI), organised 'Girls in Aviation Day 2026' in Aizawl on Thursday, marking the State as the first in the North East to host such a programme.
The event was aimed at encouraging greater participation of women in the aviation sector and introducing students to career opportunities in the industry. Students from high schools and higher secondary schools took part in the programme, engaging in discussions and interactions focused on future prospects and sustainable growth in aviation.
