Hyderabad, May 1 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Friday said the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative plays a vital role in fostering mutual understanding among people of different States and strengthening national integration.
The Governor was speaking at the Foundation Day celebrations of Maharashtra and Gujarat held at Lok Bhavan as part of the national integration programme.
Extending greetings to the people of both States, he said unity in diversity remains India's greatest strength. He noted that Maharashtra and Gujarat have made significant contributions to the country's cultural, economic, and industrial development.
