New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- Raman chopra, principal chief commissioner of Income Tax, said on Friday that each country is entitled to its right share of tax in respect of every international transaction.
He was addressing a PHDCCI conference here.
Chopra highlighted the growing global concern around base erosion and profit sharing (BEPS) and explained how the rise of digital economy has intensified the challenges of tax base protection.
Chopra described the transition from BEPS 1.0 to the Two-Pillar Solution of BEPS 2.0, which was approved by 137 nations in October 2021.
The transition dealt with the distribution of profits among market jurisdictions.
