Thiruvananthapuram, May 15 -- Kerala Chief Minister-designate V D Satheesan on Friday strongly defended the Indian union Muslim League against what he described as deliberate attempts to isolate and target the party, asserting that there would be "no compromise" on secular values under his leadership.
In his first major political statement after being chosen to lead the new government, Satheesan said campaigns directed solely against the Muslim League were aimed at creating divisions in society and strengthening communal forces in the state.
