Lucknow, April 8 -- Hitting out at the opposition, BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that distrust in the Election Commission, in effect, means questioning the mandate of the people of the country.
He said that India's democracy is the largest and strongest in the world, founded on the impartiality and transparency of the Election Commission of India.
In a statement here on Wednesday, the BJP MLA stated that the registration of over 968.8 million voters, and over 640 million people casting votes in over 105.2 million polling stations, in the 2024 general elections, once again demonstrated India's democratic strength.
