Writ filed seeking probe into activities of Yunus-led interim govt
Dhaka, May 17 -- A writ petition was filed with the High Court on Sunday seeking an investigation into the 18-month activities of the interim government led by former chief adviser Muhammad Yunus.
After a preliminary hearing, the High Court bench of Justice Ahmed Sohel and Justice Fatema Anwar fixed Thursday (21 May) for passing its order.
Senior lawyer MK Rahman and petitioner-lawyer Mohsin Rashid appeared for the writ petitioners, while Attorney General Md Ruhul Quddus Kajol represented the state.
Lawyer MK Rahman said the petition sought an investigation into the activities of the interim government over the past 18 months.
