Dhaka, Sept. 13 -- State Minister for Land Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin on Sunday urged field-level administration officials to work sincerely as servants of the people and ensure civic services reach people's doorsteps in remote areas.

"The administration of this government will by no means play the role of a ruler. Rather, it will work as a true servant of the people," he said at a coordination meeting with divisional commissioners and officials of the Land Ministry at Secretariat.

The state minister said the current democratic, political and elected government is committed to ensuring delivery of civic services to people in remote areas through the field administration.
