Dhaka, April 21 -- A woman posing as a doctor was detained by students at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday.

The detainee is Monika Akter Mitu, 32. The ID card she was carrying bore the name "Nupur Islam Jannat," which was later confirmed to be fake.

The incident occurred around 2:00pm when students found Mitu inside the female common room of the DMC wearing a doctor's apron and carrying a stethoscope.

They interrogated her following her suspicious behaviour. As she failed to provide satisfactory answers, they detained her and informed the authorities, who later handed her over to police.
