Dhaka, Aug. 8 -- BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday alleged that a vested quarter is trying to create instability in the country, urging everyone to remain alert and help protect political stability.

"Whenever the country starts moving forward, a quarter tries to push it backwards through national and international conspiracies," he said while addressing a doctors' rally organised by the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) on the LD Hall premises of the Jatiya Sangsad.
