UNGA: US greets Dr Khalilur, calls for refocusing on core issues of peace, security
Dhaka, June 6 -- Congratulating Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman on his election as UNGA81 President, the US Bureau of International Organization Affairs on Saturday said the UN needs dramatic reform and the US will settle for nothing less as they continue to call for the Assembly to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and refocus on core issues of peace and security.
"We will measure success by the quality of results achieved for the American people, not the volume of paperwork produced," said the Bureau of the US Department of State in a message.
