, Aug. 17 -- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed on Monday described a recent UN Security Council report on Al-Qaeda's attempt to establish cells in Bangladesh as assumption-driven, saying the government is not taking any action based on the report.

"I have heard about it, but I have not read it," he told reporters after a meeting of a committee reviewing the report of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission, 2025 at the Finance Ministry in Secretariat.

"As far as I have heard from newspaper reports, they have made an assumption that something like this could happen. We are not taking any steps based on an assumption-based report," he said.
