Dhaka, May 13 -- Reaffirming the United Nations' continued partnership with Bangladesh, the UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh Carol Flore-Smereczniak on Wednesday assured all possible support and cooperation from UN agencies for the country's development and progress.

She made the comments when she paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman at the Army Headquarters, according to Bangladesh Army's verified Facebook page.

The meeting marked Carol Flore-Smereczniak's first official interaction with the Army chief after assuming her appointment on 23 March 2026.
