, Sept. 21 -- Police recovered the bodies of two women from Purba Shibram village in Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha on Sunday night.

Police said three people, including the husband of one of the victims, have been arrested in connection with one of the deaths.

One of the victims was identified as Ayesha Siddika, daughter of Sirajul Islam of Purba Shibram village. She married Mosharraf Hossain, an expatriate from a neighboring village, four years ago.

Her father said Ayesha recently learned that her brother-in-law's wife was involved in an extramarital affair. Since she obstructed it, members of her in-laws' house became agitated.
