Khulna, July 7 -- Two people were killed and eight others injured when a truck rammed into two battery-run human haulers at Harintana in Khulna city on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Sheikh Didarul Haque, 30, son of Obaidul Haque, and Tapash Hor, 60, son of Binodhar Hor of Paikgachha upazila.

The accident occurred in front of Harintana Palli Bidyut office on the Khulna-Satkhira highway around 3:30pm when the Satkhira-bound truck from Khulna hit a human hauler, locally known as easy-bike.
