KUSHTIA, Aug. 15 -- Police have arrested two brothers, both affiliated with the banned Awami League, in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia for allegedly organising party activists and preparing khichuri ahead of August 15.

The arrestees are Sohel Rana Paban, chairman of Bahadurpur Union Parishad and Vice-President of Upazila Jobo League, and his brother Rubel Mahmud Ratan, president of Bahadurpur Union unit of the Swechhasebak League.
