Turkiye determined for "terror-free Turkiye": Erdogan
ANKARA, Aug. 26 -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday reaffirmed Ankara's determination to achieve a "terror-free Turkiye" and a terror-free region, following the adoption of a law regarding the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) disarmament.
Turkiye has no alternative but to remain strong and united, Erdogan said at a ceremony in the eastern province of Mus, pledging to help turn the region into a "land of peace and well-being once again," according to semi-official Anadolu Agency.
"We never bow before anyone else if the future of our homeland, our state, and our nation is at stake," Erdogan said.
