, Sept. 1 -- Francois Valerian, Chair of the International Board of Directors of Transparency International (TI), will arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday on a three-day visit.

This is his first visit to Bangladesh since being elected Chair of the Berlin-based anti-corruption organisation's Board in 2023.

He is visiting as a guest of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), the largest and one of the most active chapters in TI's global anti-corruption coalition, which operates in over 100 countries.

The main purpose of his visit is to exchange experiences at both the global and national levels on preventing corruption and promoting good governance, as well as to gain first-hand insight into TIB's activities, opportunities and challenges.
