, April 22 -- Vehicular movement on the Sherpur Bridge along the Dhaka-Sylhet highway will remain suspended for three days from Friday due to emergency repair work.

According to a notice signed by Mohammad Minhajur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj, the restriction will be effective from 8:00am on April 24 to 8:00am on April 26.

The notice stated that repair work on the damaged deck slab of Sherpur Bridge, located at the 186th kilometre of the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway over the Kushiyara River, will be carried out during this period.

As per the schedule, vehicles will be allowed to move on a single lane from 8:00am to 11:00pm on April 24.
