, March 16 -- Export and import activities through Burimari land port in Lalmonirhat will remain suspended for 11 days from March 17 (Tuesday) on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day.
However, movement of passengers with valid passports and visas through the immigration checkpost will continue as usual during the period, said Burimari Customs Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Agents Association President Faruk Hossain on Monday.
The trade suspension will continue until March 27, and port operations will resume on March 28.
Faruk Hossain said the decision to suspend commercial activities for 11 days was taken in consultation with traders marking Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day.
