Barishal, Sept. 28 -- Three friends, including a motorcycle rider, were killed on the spot when a passenger bus hit their motorcycle in Wazirpur upazila of Barishal on Monday evening.

The deceased were identified as Sourav Dhali, 14, son of Kabir Dhali of Atipara village; Tawhid Islam, 13, of the same village; and Mostakin, 14, son of Monir Hossain of neighbouring Dhamshar village.

All three were SSC examinees at Atipara Secondary School.

Quoting locals, Wazirpur Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Faruk Hossain said the three friends had gone out on a motorcycle for a ride.
