Dhaka, July 17 -- Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology, Faqir Mahbub Anam, is participating in the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026, being held in Shanghai, China, from 17 to 20 July 2026.

The four-day global conference was inaugurated today by President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China.

During the conference, Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam is scheduled to participate in high-level sessions, bilateral meetings, and discussions with global technology leaders and policymakers, said a PID handout.
