Dhaka, Aug. 31 -- A Dhaka court on Monday placed on a five-day remand three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a government primary school headteacher during an alleged bag-snatching attempt near the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Siddiq Azad passed the order after Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Sub-Inspector Shahin, also the investigation officer of the case filed over the incident, sought 10 days' remand for the accused.

The accused are Md Poni alias Poni Gazi, Cedric Julian and Rakib Hossain.

Rapid Action Battalion members arrested the trio, along with the alleged stolen goods, in a drive on Sunday.
