Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- The government has formed a high-level National Task Force on Deregulation and Business Facilitation to accelerate economic activity and investment by simplifying regulations, reducing business barriers and improving the ease of doing business.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury will lead the Task Force where some other relevant ministers and advisers of the Prime Minister have been included.

The task force has been formed under the Cabinet Division through a gazette notification issued on Sunday, with representatives from key government agencies and leading business organisations included in the body.
