Dhaka, Sept. 18 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday wished Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, with Modi responding by thanking him for the greetings.

Tarique extended the birthday wishes in a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday night.

"Warmest birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Wishing you many happy returns of the day. May your dedicated service to the people of India always be accompanied by good health and high spirit," he wrote.

Responding to Tarique's message, Modi thanked the Bangladesh prime minister for his warm wishes.

"Thank you, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, for your warm wishes. I deeply appreciate your kind words," he wrote.
