Dhaka, March 7 -- Supply of spices in the market is normal and strict monitoring is in place to prevent any manipulation of prices by traders, State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain said on Saturday.
Ishraque made the remarks while visiting the wholesale spice market at Shyambazar in Old Dhaka along with officials of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection.
"We are keeping a close watch so that no one can manipulate prices or create an artificial shortage by hoarding goods. After visiting the market, it appears that the situation remains stable. Prices of onions, garlic, ginger and other spices are normal," he said.
