Dhaka, June 22 -- Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, on Monday proposed the formation of an inter-parliamentary team between Bangladesh and Switzerland to facilitate the exchange of parliamentary experiences and best practices.

He made the proposal when Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh Reto Renggli paid a courtesy call on him at his office in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

During the meeting, the Swiss Ambassador thanked Hafiz Uddin Ahmed for making the 13th Parliament effective by earning the confidence of both the ruling party and the opposition.
