Bhola, May 26 -- Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad on Tuesday expressed hope that both the ruling and opposition parties will work together to present a budget, which will bring more comfort to people's lives.

"The ruling party presents the budget while the opposition criticises it. We welcome constructive criticism. I will ensure that the opposition gets adequate time to perform its duties," he said while speaking to journalists at the Bhola Circuit House in the afternoon.

The Speaker added that a spirit of cooperation between the ruling and opposition camps is essential in parliamentary democracy.
