New York, Sept. 24 -- State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said skilled and capable human resources are a fundamental pillar of sustainable development, stressing the need to effectively connect education with employment, entrepreneurship and economic growth.

He made the remarks while addressing as the chief guest a discussion titled "From Classroom to Economy", organised by the Bangladesh Consulate General in New York.

The event, moderated by Consul General Muhammad Mozammel Haque, brought together government policymakers, university representatives, employers and Bangladeshi expatriate professionals residing in New York.
