, July 30 -- Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto says injuries will not change his expectations for the upcoming Test series in Australia.

He said he has the confidence that the squad available can put up a strong fight.

Bangladesh will be without fast bowlers Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam, as well as wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das, all ruled out due to injury before the two-Test tour.

"Injuries are beyond anyone's control. Anyone can get injured at any time," Shanto told reporters on Thursday in Mirpur. "I have complete faith in the team that is going to Australia.
