Dhaka, July 23 -- State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam on Thursday commended the efforts made by the Saudi Arabia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SABCCI) and reaffirmed her ministry's continued support in strengthening Bangladesh-Saudi economic relations.

She highlighted opportunities for expanding cooperation on trade, investment and skilled workforce, emphasising technical and vocational skills development.

Shama Obaed also underscored the importance of women's economic empowerment and promoting Bangladesh's creative industries, handicrafts, and diversified jute products in the Saudi market.
