Dhaka, Aug. 5 -- A security guard died after falling from the rooftop of a three-storey building while watering flowing plants in Mohammadpur's Chandrima Model Town on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Suruj Sheikh, 40, son of late Bhaduri Sheikh, from Bajuabtek village under Nagarpur upazila in Tangail district.

Suruj's nephew Md Babu said the victim was watering flowering plants on the rooftop around 9:00am when he accidentally fell.

He was rescued in critical condition and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctor declared him dead around 10:30am.
