Chattogram, March 24 -- Two ships of the Russian Navy arrived at Chattogram Port on Tuesday on a four-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh.

The visiting ships, Rezkiy and Soverchenny, were welcomed upon arrival by the Chief Staff Officer of Commander Chattogram Naval Area, along with senior naval officials.

Russian Deputy Ambassador to Bangladesh, as well as military, air and naval attaches, were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Bangladesh Navy ship BNS Omar Faruk accorded a formal reception to the vessels as they entered Bangladesh's maritime boundary.

During their stay, the commanding officers of the visiting ships and a Russian delegation, including the Deputy Ambassador, are scheduled to pay courtesy calls on Commander Chattogra...
