Rajshahi, Oct. 10 -- A senior teacher of Rajshahi University (RU) was killed and his colleague critically injured as a vehicle rammed into their motorbike in Paba upazila of Rajshahi district on Friday morning.

Police identified the deceased as Shiv Shankar Roy, 58, a professor of Marketing Department and the injured as Md Asaduzzaman, another professor at the department of Philosophy. He is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-charge of Paba Police Station Monirul Islam said the accident occurred around 7am near the Ansar Camp on the Naogaon-Rajshahi highway in Nowhata area when a vehicle collided with a motorcycle and fled the scene, leaving them critically injured....
