Dhaka, Aug. 15 -- The BNP has appointed four leaders as members of its National Standing Committee, the party's highest policy-making body, with a view to strengthening its organisational activities.

According to a press release issued by the party on Saturday, the newly appointed members are Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Md Aman Ullah Aman, Farhad Halim and Md Ismail Jabiuallah.

The BNP expressed the hope that the newly appointed leaders would contribute to important decisions concerning the party and the people through their prudent advice, intellect and experience at the party's highest policy-making forum.
