Dhaka, Aug. 14 -- The Rangpur Divisional Women's Sports Complex has finally begun operations, more than three years after its inauguration.

The complex began its activities on Thursday afternoon with a three-day divisional skating training camp for schoolgirls.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam inaugurated the training camp.

Shahidul Islam said activities at the women's sports complex could not be launched earlier due to funding constraints.

"After various initiatives, we have finally been able to start its activities. I hope the complex will never have to close again because of a lack of funds," he said.
