Dhaka, Sept. 29 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) foiled an attempt to push an unidentified man into Bangladesh through Daulatpur border in Kushtia, while the Border Security Force (BSF) fired several rounds of bullet and detonated sound grenades in a separate incident on the same day.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashed Kamal Rony, commander of Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB), said, "When an attempt was made to push a person into Bangladesh through the Daulatpur border, BGB members foiled it. Later, the issue was discussed with the BSF through a flag meeting and the person was taken back into Indian territory."
