, Oct. 28 -- The Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) on Tuesday gave approval for two major road development proposals under the Noakhali Road Division aimed at upgrading key regional highways to four lanes, significantly enhancing connectivity in the greater Cumilla and Noakhali regions.
Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed virtually chaired the meeting that took place at the Secretariat.
According to the Road Transport and Highways Division, the projects fall under the "Cumilla-Lalmai-Chandpur-Lakshmipur-Begumganj (R-140) and Begumganj-Sonaimuri-Ramganj (R-142) Regional Highway Four-Lane Development Project."
