, Sept. 16 -- Detectives arrested three people, including the prime accused, from different parts of the district in connection with the double murder in Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla.

The arrestees were identified as Mostak Ahmed Abu Mia, his wife Hanufa Begum and their adopted daughter Iti.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB police arrested Hanufa and Iti from the Badsha Mia Bazar area of Cumilla city, said Additional Superintendent of Police Md Lutfur Rahman at a press briefing held at the police conference room on Wednesday.

Based on information provided by them, police later conducted a drive and arrested Abu Mia from a train at Akhaura Railway Station in Brahmanbaria.
