Dhaka, May 9 -- President Mohammed Shahabuddin left Dhaka for London on Saturday morning for follow-up treatment and health examinations.

A regular commercial flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG-201) carrying the President departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:45am, according to Bangabhaban source.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Md Asaduzzaman, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Yousef S. Y. Ramadan, British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office and the President's Office saw him off at the airport.
