Dhaka, Aug. 7 -- Bangladesh Police has urged the public to remain cautious about false, misleading and provocative information being circulated on social media targeting senior police officers and important government figures.

A statement circulated from Police Headquarters (PHQ) on Friday said a "vested group" has been deliberately spreading fabricated and inflammatory content on Facebook and other social media platforms.
