Dhaka, July 5 -- The government has transferred nine Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG) and Superintendents of Police (SP) of Bangladesh Police on Sunday.

Two separate notifications were issued on Sunday by the Home Ministry in this regard.

According to the notifications, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Special Branch (SB) Md Iqbal Hossain has been made DIG (Dhaka Range), while Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Commissioner (DIG) Md Ashiq Saeed has been appointed as DIG (Rajshahi Range).

DIG at the Police Headquarters Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh has been made as Commissioner (DIG) of the BMP.
