, March 8 -- Norwegian authorities are investigating a possible explosion outside the US. Embassy in Oslo early Sunday, officials said.

No one was reported injured. Oslo police said in a statement that they received reports of a "loud bang" or explosion around 1 am.

The US. Embassy directed media inquiries to the US. State Department, which did not immediately respond. Oslo police also declined to provide further details.
