Dhaka, May 28 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday visited the graves of his father late President Ziaur Rahman, and his mother former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia after offering Eid-ul-Azha prayers at the National Eidgah.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by his wife Zubaida Rahman, arrived at the graveyard at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar around 8:38am after the Eid congregation.

Tarique Rahman and his wife first visited the graves privately, offered Fateha and joined a munajat there.

Later, the Prime Minister, also BNP Chairman, joined party leaders in offering Fateha and taking part in a special munajat.

He also placed floral wreaths at the graves along with party leaders.
